ModChat

In this episode of ModChat - WE'RE LIVE!!!! At least we were live, if you're reading this then that means you're viewing and listening to the completed livestream. We attempted to finally take ModChat live and ended up knocking out two things with that - Livestreaming and facecams! As we have said in multiple episodes: We want your feedback and do take the time out to read and listen to it all, we're just a tad bit slow at implementing. Many people have wanted livestreams but perhaps the most requested addition has been facecams.

Unless there is an overwhelming objection to the decision being made, this will most likely be the new format of the show in which we do a livestream of it on YouTube. That livestream will consist of topics we already have but we will also be dedicating a portion of each episode to answering questions in the chat section.

Some of the topics we discuss in this one include: Cobra Blackfin for Vita, HENkaku for Vita (and perhaps PS4), Xbox 360 drive flashing, and much more!

Of course we're always looking for improvements and constructive criticisms, so if you all have any ideas or topics you would like us to tackle please let us know!

In this episode of ModChat - We kick off with a name change to the YouTuber formally known as Dopesoner, who is also formally known as thedopesoner930, who is now referred to as ModBot. No change in the lineup, just a change in name! Branching off from material not covered in episode 017, here we discuss our experiences in troubleshooting and repair techniques. This involves what our thought process is, what we normally try, and what we have learned from experience. A lot of troubleshooting and repair also comes from former experience, so we try to address that towards any newcomers who don't have any previous repair experience!

In this monthly episode of ModChat, we are joined by the usual suspects Danny (MrMario2011) and Daniel (Dopesoner) for their memories and dangerous adventures into the world of software and hardware modding resulting in times which have destroyed hardware. Although the duo has had a fair bit of successful projects, they were not reached without stumbling over quite a few failed projects and events.

In this episode of ModChat we have our third guest (STiPO) on the show to discuss his knowledge and experience with modifying and reverse engineering retail games, with one specialty and major passion of his being Dead Rising! We give a somewhat quasi-interview and ask about what reverse engineering entails, how to get started, as well as tips and advice that novice listeners can take away from this.

In this episode of ModChat, the regular duo consisting of MrMario2011 (Danny) and Dopesoner (Daniel) start off by discussing the awesomeness and pure epic power custom firmware can bestow upon any type of device, whether it be gaming related or non gaming related. However tangents occur and the two broaden the scope of the discussion by going into patches which have made games better and even heavily customized or tweaked operating systems!

After months of no ModChat+ the regular crew is back at it with another ramble filled (and slightly rant filled) episode to pass the time for the month of March! Some of the topics discussed: Bronchitis, DAMN DANIEL, upcoming anticipated games, the closure of Lionhead Studios, comparisons between different mechanical keyboard switches, and a few fun filled rants!

In this episode of ModChat, we have our second ever guest on here (PtoPOnline), a known gamer and YouTube with a knack for preserving unreleased and early builds of video games! Video games are ever evolving and with that there is a lot that is left on the cutting room floor, what PtoPOnline likes to do is collect and preserve these early builds and finds in games while also sharing them on YouTube. He joins us today on this episode to discuss how modding can be utilized to aide the progression of video game preservation even further!

To bring in the new year, the regular ModChat duo decides to bring in some recently announced and shown off exploits which happened within the past month! This includes the various 3DS downgrades and new developments for firmware 10.3, some more sneak peeks at the inside of the PS4, and a recently announced Wii U USERLAND exploit!

The last episode of 2015 is here! With a whole year of podcast episodes knocked out the duo of Danny and Daniel decide to look back at the recent developments that happened in 2015 in the world of console modding. They also go back and reminisce upon the past episodes of ModChat released, here's to the end of a year of podcasting!
